Welcome to the first SPC (skipasscalculator.com) blog!

My name is Luke Beaulieu and I am going to use this blog as a forum to talk about everything New England skiing. More specifically, I am going to write about topics such as: ski pass math, VT/NH backcountry, local events, and significant mountain updates.

In my first post, I wanted to take the time to brush up on my blogging skills as well as inform you on two ski/snowboard events taking place in the Boston area this fall.

1. Snowbound Expo
    When: Nov 18-20, 2022
    Where: Boston, MA
   Ticket Info

The Snowbound Expo is an annual event that takes place in Seaport’s Hynes Convention Center. The expo was canceled in 2021 due to COVID-19, but is making a comeback to the city this year. A few reasons to attend:

  • Check out the latest models of your favorite skis/boards.

  • Discover new brands.

  • Try out the latest ski tech.

  • Meet some really cool people.

A few years ago, I met Jason Levinthal at the Boston Ski expo and talked with him about his company, J Skis, when they were just starting to gain attention. There is a list of great guest speakers this year including: Bode Miller, Chris Davenport, Lindsey Fixmar and many more…

2. Level 1 Film Tour
    When: Sep 27, 2022
    Where: Cambridge, MA
    Ticket Info

I am really excited to attend the Level 1 Freeski Film Tour this September. There is set to be seven films shown from the likes of: Jake Mageau, Sammy Carlson, Fore, etc… Additionally, Level 1 will be giving away signed posters and a pair of these skis as seen on TikTok.

Please comment below if you know of any other events that are happening in the area this fall and I can update this page. There is a strong ski community residing in the area and I don’t always think that these types of events get the reach they should.
